Shipped our car today

Chuck shipped our car today..He had to go to Mainz and do it. He worked so hard cleaning it and scrubbing it. Its going to be in NJ sometime at the begining of March. We hope that it gets there safely since Chuck said its his baby...He finished cleaning it today would you believe how much stuff he had in there besides maps and cds. :) Its going to stink though not having a car to go anywhere for the rest of the month. Hes going to try and rent and a car for a few days to get us through..

Frankenstein Castle

On Saturday we spent the day with our friends Verna, Rich, Dakotah and Jesse. They took us to Frankenstein Castle. It was neat to see.We wanted to see it at Halloween time and never got a chance to. Here our some pics from there. Thank you Verna for emailing me the pics to share since we forgot our camera.

What a day for my poor cat

Well today Sabrina had her shots and stuff to go back to the states next month. Well getting her to the vets was not fun. She hates her bag and hates being trapped in it. We were 15 minutes late because she would not budge at all. We tried everything with her bribing, her favorite snacks but still no. We tried the blanket and the first time it didnt work. The second time we were able to get her and got her in the bag.
So all the way to the vet she was crying and crying. Then we got inside there and she was not happy. A couple doggies were sniffing her bag. The first one she just gave the evil eye to it and the second one she hissed and the dog cried. I felt bad for him but I guess she wasnt gonna put up with nosey dogs.
She had her turn after the dogs and she got 2 shots so she could be all set for next month. She also got her nails clipped to we were suprized that she was being so good for the vet. The vet didnt have any trouble with Sabrina. We looked like horrible parents saying she was mean and stuff. Well she was being a wiggly worm so the vet had her hanging upside down trying to hold her. We found out that she has swelling on both of her back legs. The vet said asked us about it and we didnt know. She said that could be a old injury from when she was living in the wild.
Now the adventure with her will begin next month on a 8 hr flight back to the states. Shes going as a carryon. Wish her luck because I am going to be so nervous traveling with her. Then she gets to meet her fur cousins at my parents house to. Shes going to be visiting with grandma and grandpa for a little over 20 days. Then we drive from NY to Ft Bragg and thats going to be another fun adventure with her.

Not much went on this today just did a little bit shopping and got groceries and Chuck and his friend are out singing Kareoke. I am hanging out with my sweetie cat Sabrina. Happy Saturday to all of you.

American Idol

I am so excited American Idol came on today in Germany. I love it. I have watched it every season that it came on. Today it was so funny. I needed a good laugh. I cant pick on any of them because they are braver than I am for even going up there. I liked the Navy guy so far he had a good voice. Chuck dosent know he liked because he was playing on the computer. Who does everyone like so far.

No Bake Macaroni And Cheese

No Bake Macaroni And Cheese

Serves 4

Ingredients
8 ounces whole wheat elbow noodles
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
1 3/4 cups low fat milk, divided
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
3/4 cup shredded extra sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 teaspoon dijon mustard

Cooking instructions
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta for 4 minutes. Add frozen broccoli and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the pasta and broccoli are just tender, 4 to 5 minutes more.

2. Meanwhile, heat 1 1/2 cups milk in another large pot over medium high heat until just simmering. Whisk the remaining 1/4 cup milk, flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl until combined. Add the flour mixture to the simmering milk: return to a simmer and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture is thickened, 2 to 3 mintues. Remove from the heat and whisk in Cheddar, Parmesean and mustard until the cheese is melted.

3. Drain the pasta and broccoli and add to the cheese sauce. Return to the heat and cook, stirring over medium low heat, until heated through, about 1 minute.

The new season of 24

Chuck and I are so excited the new season of 24 began today on AFN. It was a 2 hour premare today. Its going to be a awesome season to watch. :)

Happy Martin Luther King Jr's Day

New Purses

Yesterday Chuck and Rich bought me and Verna new purses at the Weisbaden Px. They bought us Coach ones. I never had a Coach purse before and I loved it and it was really pretty. I felt bad that he bought it because I was afraid that he was gonna go on and on about it after but he hasnt so far. Chuck knows that I love purses but I dont buy them all the time and this one is really pretty. Its a patch work one. Yeah the purses are the same ones but me and Verna both dont care.

Amazing Race DVD Board Game

Chuck and I played the Amazing Race DVD Video game today with Verna and her family. We did teams it was me, Verna and Dakotah against Chuck, Rich and Jesse. It was a confusing game and somethings we couldnt figure it out but it was still fun. Us girls won the game.

What a nice guy

What a nice guy my Chuck is. Yesterday he went to his former Sgts birthday party and he took his soldiers to Frankfurt and was there Desiginated driver. I think that was nice of him to give up his Saturday night and take them there. He was just gonna go to the party for awhile and come home. I guess since he didnt want to drink anyways so they asked Chuck to take them. He didnt get home until early this morning but he drank a few sodas there and got them all back to the barracks safely.

Traveling Cat

Today mommy and daddy bought me a traveling bag. I didnt fit into my little one anymore. I gotten a little plump when I moved in with them. Its not a fancy one but it will work and get me to the states next month. I guess before I go I have to have my Rabies shot again and 10 days before I leave a health certificate. Daddy got his orders but he dosent have a fly date yet for us. We just know the end of the month of February.
Wish me luck next month when I have to travel for 10hrs on a plane. I hate being cooped up. I like to be out and about playing and watching my birdies and stuff. I am gonna be crying when I am in it and driving my parents nuts.
Any advice furbaby friends what to do to make my travel more comfortable and I dont cry.

Tarte Flambee Flammekueche

Tarte Flambee Flammekueche

Ingredients: Dough, thick cream, onions, lardon

Prepare a dough wotj 500g of flour, 20 g of bakers yeast, a pinch pf salt, 1 1/2 glasses of tripid water. Roll the dough very thinly into a cingular shape, fold in the edge (1-2cm), garnish with double cream, thinly sliced onions and smoked diced lardon. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake a very hot oven and serve immediately.

We had this for lunch well similar to it. Its a crept thing but the one that we all ate was a crept pizza with cream, cheese and ham. It was really yummy. We had this when when we were at the Strasbourg Christmas Market in France.

Its Been A Year

Its been a year that our Sabrina Kitty moved in with us today. She been through a lot. The poor thing last year was crying in our hallway and running up and down the stairs. So we finally went out and talked to her and Chuck was finally able to get her to come in. She wasnt very nice at first but I dont blame her because she was so hungry, cold and was neglected to. I wish that we knew where she came from and stuff but we love her very much.
When she first moved in Chuck wasnt sure if me and her were going to make it together because he had to go to the feild for a month. I am happy to say that we made it through a year and many more to come of being with us.
Sabrina learned how to trust again and how to love to. She knows now that she has food, water and a warm place to live.
Since living with us she has been spoiled with backrubs and she prefers them on my bed silly cat. She loves to play with her toys especially the mouse on the string. She goes nuts for that. She also loves her scratching post to. Shes always scratching on that. She loves to snuggle with me when I go to bed. Her most favorite thing to do is watching the birds and the bunny rabbits outside. She could sit at the window all day do it.
Her favorite human food is the frozen shrimp. She loves it when Chuck gives it to her. She always goes to him when hes eating that because she knows that she will get a few pieces.
Shes always got a home with me and Chuck.
Today Sabrina is spending her day taking a cat nap under the table.

I took these pics at the begining of last year of her. She has growen so much now and also has a tummy on her.

Happy New Years from Germany. This is our last New Years in Germany we are gonna miss it here and all of our great adventures that we had and all of our wonderful friends that we made to. :( We hope that everyone has a wonderful 2007.
